In brief

If you buy an item via discountershop.nl, you can assume that it is in good condition and will continue to work as expected with normal use. However, it can always happen that you are not satisfied and want to return your item or have to register for repair. There are certain rules attached to this. To avoid any surprises, we recommend that you read this information page.
All guarantee / warranty are manufacturer's warranty. This warranty does not affect the legal warranty. 

Manufacturer's warranty

The manufacturer of your ordered item can provide a manufacturer's warranty. This means that the manufacturer will repair or replace your item during that warranty period if it becomes defective, unless the defect was caused by you. You can either contact us through customer service or contact the manufacturer. In case of manufacturer's warranty, you will receive the appropriate document or a booklet with your product stating manufacturer information and procedure.
Please note that the manufacturer's warranty differs per manufacturer. 

Legal guarantee

The legal guarantee applies to all items that you buy from us. Legal guarantee means that a product is or must do what the consumer is reasonably allowed to do with it. Your purchased item must meet what was promised and what you could reasonably expect. For example, if you have received a television whose remote control breaks after a few weeks, you can contact us or the partner if it concerns an article from a partner. Do not wait too long after you have discovered this defect. If the period of the manufacturer's warranty has expired, this does not mean that there is no longer any warranty at all.

If a defect occurs during the warranty period through no fault of your own, you may be entitled to a repair fee or replacement of the item. Below is what you can do.

Make sure you have the warranty card for the item, which is required by the manufacturer for repair or replacement.

If you received a defective item

Within the return period
If an item does not function properly immediately upon receipt, you must notify us as soon as possible. In this case, please contact our customer service for troubleshooting. If the item turns out to be defective, we will always propose a solution. In most cases, exchange is possible but not all products are exchangeable, such as personal accessories or hygiene products such as diaper. 
Please note that repair must be within the warranty period of your product and return must be initiated within 14 days of receipt of the product. For more return details check here.

Warranty procedure

Follow these steps if you want to send an item to us for warranty:
  • Contact our customer service and we will tell you what to do.
  • If we are unable to solve your problem, then the manufacturer warranty needs to be addressed. Make sure you take note of the booklet, which you will receive if there is any manufacturer warranty.
  • The consumer bears the risk for the return shipment, we therefore advise you to send the package by registered mail and to keep the proof of shipment, so that you can claim any loss from your carrier.
